    In response to the growing challenge of housing affordability Mirvac is making it easier for first home buyers to get a foot in the door by lowering the deposit barrier on our qualifying apartments at Ascot Green.

    The Right Start by Mirvac will allow prequalified first home buyers to purchase a brand new home, exchanging with just a 5 per cent initial deposit on nominated apartments that qualify for the Queensland (QLD) Government's First Home Owner Grant, presenting an opportunity to buy in the sought after suburb of Ascot.

    Pre-qualified First Home Buyers will be offered the following:

    • $2,000 West Elm voucher (provided after settlement)
    • Deposit in instalments – 5% at contract signing, 2.5% in December 2017 and 2.5% due on settlement
    • Information on sources of finance and legal advice
    • A dedicated contact at Mirvac to help through each step of the buying off the plan process

     

    To qualify for this Mirvac initiative, you will need to provide the following information to your Sales Consultant prior to signing your contact:

    • Proof of residency and age (Copy of your passport or a copy of your current drivers licence and Medicare card); and
    • A completed statutory declaration form confirming your eligibility as a first home buyer.

    The Right Start by Mirvac Terms and Conditions 

    This explanation of the terms and conditions is to be used as a guide only.  The contract for sale is the legal document that binds you to the terms of the contract.  You should seek legal advice prior to signing a contract and your sales consultant will be able to provide you with a copy of the contract.

    • To be eligible for The Right Start by Mirvac you must sign a statutory declaration that all purchasers on the contract have not “owned or had a relevant interest in a residential property in Australia before and have not previously received or retained a grant under the “First Home Owner Grant Act 2000” in accordance with the Office of State Revenue’s requirements.” (“Eligible Purchaser”).  
    • All Eligible Purchasers must be Australian permanent residents or Australian citizens at the time contracts are exchanged.  You will be asked to provide either an Australian Passport or a Medicare card and current Australian drivers licence as evidence.
    • Eligible Purchaser/s must pay an initial $1,000 holding deposit to secure an apartment at contract signing.
    • If the Eligible Purchaser chooses not to proceed with the purchase of an apartment within 1 week of the contract signing, the $1,000 will be fully refunded.
    • If the Eligible Purchaser purchases an apartment, the $1,000 will be applied towards the deposit following exchange of contracts. 

    Payment of the Deposit Balance by Instalments

    • Within 14 days of the contract signing, the Eligible Purchaser must pay half of the total deposit (10%), which is 5% of the contract price (less $1,000). Deposit bonds cannot be provided as payment for the 5% deposit.
    • By 31 December 2017, Eligible Purchaser/s will be required to pay a deposit instalment of 2.5% of the contract value (“2nd Instalment”).
    • At the time of settlement, Eligible Purchaser/s will be required to pay a deposit instalment of 2.5% of the contract value (“3rd Instalment”).
